Kindergarten Early Numeracy and Literacy Assessment

These kindergarten CBM assessments consist of measures for early literacy, early numeracy and early writing. The measures can be administered individually or class-wide following standardized administration procedures. The measures have demonstrated value for screening to identify students who may be in need of intervention at Tiers 1, 2, or 3 within an RTI framework.The measures are designed primarily for benchmark screening three times per year.In addition to providing information about which students may need academic interventions or support services, the assessments are useful for examining the progress of students over time.This information can be used to track individual students and, importantly, it can be used to assess the effectiveness of Tier 1 instruction in establishing important early learning skills.
